Job summary

FirstLink is seeking Full-Time Evening Helpline Specialists to support individuals via phone, text, or online chat, offering listening, crisis de-escalation, and referrals to local resources. The role covers the 988 Lifeline and 211 information lines, with a focus on empathetic communication.

You will work 4PM-12AM (or 4PM-12:30AM), two consecutive days off, and you must be willing to work some weekends with a wage incentive.

Qualifications

• Experience providing emotional support or customer service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be able to read, write, and follow oral or written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Engage with help-seekers via phone, text, or online chat across FirstLink lines (988, 211, and state crisis lines).
• De-escalate emotional crises and make appropriate referrals to local resources.
• Provide supportive listening and guidance to individuals seeking help; participate in holiday rotation and weekend scheduling.
