Job summary

FirstLink is seeking Overnight Helpline Specialists to support individuals via phone, text, or online chat, de-escalate crises, and refer to local resources. You will engage with 988, 211, and regional crisis lines, working overnight on a rotating schedule in a full-time role.

Ideal candidates have crisis intervention or customer service experience, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, empathetic environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience in a call center, customer service, human service, or mental health field.
• Ability to read, write, and follow oral or written instructions.
• Experience in crisis intervention or customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to help-seekers via phone, text, or online chat.
• De-escalate emotional and mental health crises and refer to local resources.
• Engage with callers on 988, 211, and regional crisis lines.
• Maintain accurate and compassionate documentation of interactions.
