Job summary

Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is seeking an Emergency Department Technician (ED Tech) to support physicians, APRNs, and RNs in delivering emergency care. The role focuses on assisting with procedures, preparing supplies, and contributing to a safe, efficient ED environment.

The ED Tech will perform tasks such as starting IVs, EKGs, POCT, blood cultures, vital signs, and patient prioritization, while also stocking the department as needed.

Qualifications

• EMT-B with state or national certification at time of hire OR
• Military Hospital Corps School/MMAC candidates may qualify OR
• Current student enrolled in a clinical program with at least one semester completed
