Job summary

IEC-Chesapeake-Inc. is seeking a full-time Instructor in Maryland to educate apprentices in electrical disciplines, including Commercial, Residential and Low Voltage systems. You will lead hands-on lab sessions, grade student work, maintain records, and ensure safety in a dynamic learning environment.

Classes run during daytime, evenings, and Saturdays; strong teaching methods and a background in electrical theory are essential to support student success and program outcomes.

Qualifications

• Completion of an approved apprenticeship program.
• Journeyman or Master license required.
• Experience in electrical construction leadership roles.
• Strong teaching and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare instructional materials from the curriculum and teach on time.
• Designs and ensures minimum laboratory exercises each semester.
• Uses media such as video, PowerPoint, YouTube, Zoom and hands-on equipment.
• Administers quizzes, tests, and assigns homework and readings to meet policy.
• Maintain safety, discipline and accurate records of student performance.
