Job summary

ISS Guckenheimer in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a Cook to efficiently prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, dinner and catered events, following production sheets and safety procedures. Full-time employees receive medical, dental, life and disability insurance, and a comprehensive leave program.

You will maintain kitchen cleanliness, practice HACCP guidelines, and work a 5:30 am–2:00 pm schedule, Monday–Friday. A minimum of 1 year of cooking experience (or an equivalent education) is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year professional cooking experience or education equivalent.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines and kitchen safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Clock in/out for workday and breaks.
• Provide the highest quality of service per ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards.
• Follow current production sheets and guidelines to ensure high-quality food service.
• Basic cooking and prep techniques as required by the assignment.
• Execute NetMenu recipe preparation of foods as directed by chefs.
• Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment per rules and SOPs.
• Notify management of ingredient discrepancies, safety or equipment issues.
• Attend all daily meetings and participate in assigned tasks.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
