Job summary

Seton Home in San Antonio offers a full-time Early Head Start role focusing on early development support and childcare for infants and toddlers. You will implement Teaching Strategies: A Creative Curriculum, maintain infant documentation, and report concerns about child safety to supervisors.

Responsibilities include daily care, lesson planning, attendance reporting, and collaboration with mothers and staff, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or higher in early childhood education or equivalent.
• At least 2 years’ experience in a licensed childcare facility.
• Reliable transportation and valid state ID/driver license.
• Knowledge of Texas rules and Early Head Start requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain contractual compliance (TDFPS, COSA, TRS, EHS).
• Maintain punctuality and attendance.
• Lift and carry children up to 35 lbs.
• Maintain documentation and filing per contractual requirements.
• Complete weekly lesson plans and have peer coach review them.
• Record daily attendance and Daily Infant Reports.
• Feed, nurture, and play with children; change diapers.
• Engage in curriculum activities with children and mothers.
• Utilize supporting technology pieces in activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the program director.
