Upbring is seeking an Early Head Start Teacher in Training in San Antonio, TX. The program provides hands-on experience under experienced mentors, supporting infants and toddlers with developmentally appropriate activities and a pathway toward a full teaching role.

Trainees gain exposure to Head Start standards and best practices while working toward a CDA Infant/Toddler credential. You will work with a team of educators, participate in parent engagement, and complete CDA modules weekly,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Three months experience in a childcare setting.
• Eligible to enroll in a CDA Infant/Toddler credential program and complete it within six months of beginning the training program.
• Willing to obtain CPR and first aid certification.
• Willing to obtain COR Advantage Assessment certification.

Responsabilités

• Actively supervise children indoors and outdoors to ensure safety.
• Administer developmental screenings, assessments, and evaluations to support learning plans.
• Plan activities aligned with IEPs, disabilities, curriculum, and performance standards.
• Build supportive relationships with children while promoting positive behavior.
• Complete required coursework (CDA) and attend professional development.
• Follow licensing and program standards and organizational policies.
• Maintain records and communicate progress with parents.
