Job summary

Upbring in Texas seeks an Early Head Start Teacher to provide a nurturing, developmentally appropriate learning environment for infants and toddlers (0–3). The role focuses on secure attachments, social-emotional growth, cognitive and language development, and implementing Head Start-aligned curricula.

You will conduct ongoing assessments, partner with families, ensure licensing and safety compliance, and collaborate with teaching teams to support every child’s readiness for school.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CDA Credential in Infant and Toddler.
• Willing to obtain COR Advantage Assessment certification.
• Willing to obtain CPR and first aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Establish a warm, secure, and trusting atmosphere for infants and toddlers.
• Plan and deliver engaging activities supporting cognitive, language, motor, and social-emotional development.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom following health and safety protocols.
• Monitor and document developmental progress using approved assessment tools.
• Assist with feeding, diapering, toileting, and naptime routines.
• Engage in intentional interactions to foster language and relationship-building skills.
• Communicate with parents/caregivers and provide regular updates and resources.
• Collaborate with teaching teams, family advocates, and specialists to address needs.
• Adhere to Head Start standards, licensing requirements, and program policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent

Current CDA Credential in Infant and Toddler
