Compensation

Hourly pay rate is $14.42. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

The shift will be Monday and Tuesday 8:30am-5pm, Wednesday 8:30am-6pm, Thursday 7am-5pm and Friday 9am-2pm. This position is responsible for the safe moving, staging, and parking of vehicles on Auction property, driving vehicles to and from Auction lots and customer businesses, and driving vehicles through Auction sale lanes on designated sale days, all in compliance with Auction safety rules and regulations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Drive vehicles through Auction lanes on sale day in a safe manner.
2. Drive vehicles to and from designated areas on Auction premises and to and from customer dealerships and businesses, observing Auction driving rules, rules of the road, and demonstrating courtesy and defensive driving principles.
3. Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by supervisor or team leader, move vehicles as necessary, and locate "lost" vehicles.
4. Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed, including inflating tires and jump-starting vehicles using a battery box and air tank. Notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative and inform Service or Gas Truck Driver when a vehicle is out of gas.
5. Assist customers (dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.
6. Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors. Participate actively in safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
7. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
8. May be required to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license; safe driving record.
• Ability to enter and exit vehicles frequently.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods and walk long distances.
• Regularly stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear.
• Frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat, and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Visual abilities including close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Preferred:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous auction experience.
• Ability to drive vehicles with both standard and automatic transmissions.

Work Environment: Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Moderate noise level.

Drug Testing

Pre-employment drug test required; Cox does not test for marijuana but maintains a drug-free workplace with prohibitions on illegal drug use during work hours and on company property.
