Job summary

Goodwill Southeast Georgia is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to safely deliver or pick up merchandise from donation centers, Goodwill stores and businesses. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections, secure loads, and communicate with site staff during routes.

This role requires a CDL, DOT compliance, forklift certification, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends to support our network of stores and donation centers.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED preferred with at least 6 months of truck driving experience (1 year preferred).
• CDL Class A to operate straight truck, jockey truck, and tractor-trailers, with driving record acceptable to insurance standards.
• Able to pass the DOT Drug Screen and DOT Physical.
• Forklift Certification (Equipment training and certification provided).
• Must read operating and safety instructions.
• Flexible schedule (evenings & weekends when required).

Responsibilities

• Safely operates a Class A CDL Truck to deliver or pick up merchandise from donation centers, Goodwill stores/facilities, or businesses.
• Maintain vehicle logs, daily truck inspection, and load details per laws and procedures.
• Provide basic supervision for truck helper, if applicable.
• Report mechanical problems and delays.
• Load/unload merchandise using equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections daily.
• Communicate with site staff on arrival and completion of tasks.
• Ensure safety procedures and policies are followed.
