Job summary

The Borough of Harrington Park is seeking a qualified individual to join its Department of Public Works as a full-time laborer. The ideal candidate will hold a valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A preferred) and bring experience in maintenance, landscaping, tree work, snow plowing, equipment operation, and related trades.

They must be available to work full-time, including standby and emergency assignments on weekends and holidays, with overtime during leaf collection and winter snow/ice

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class A preferred).
• Experience in general maintenance, landscaping, tree work, snow plowing, and equipment operation.
• Willing to work full-time including weekends and holidays; standby and overtime may be required.
• Starting salary noted in ad: $47,544.40.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance tasks for the Department of Public Works.
• Operate equipment for paving, snow/ice control, and landscaping.
• Assist with tree work, jackhammer, chainsaw, and related tools.
• Assist with standby and emergency response as needed.
