Job summary

Verland is hiring a Direct Support Professional (FT/1st) in Hermitage, PA to support residents with complex needs in Hasenflu House. This hourly, non-exempt role offers a $20.00/hour wage and a $2,000 sign-on bonus, with full-time 40-hour weeks.

You will provide individualized care, assist with meals, hygiene, transportation, and daily living activities, while documenting progress and contributing to safety and wellness. Verland supports growth and inclusive services.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Reliable means of transportation.
• Ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Must pass a complete Background, Physical, and Drug screening.
• Experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Enrich and support the lives of residents while maintaining a safe environment.
• Introduce and encourage skill development through active treatment activities.
• Implement individualized programs; record observations and daily progress notes.
• Participate in planning social, home, and recreational activities.
• Assist with meals and perform cleaning and laundry duties in the house.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities in Verland vehicles.
• Bathe, dress, and assist clients with personal hygiene.
• Housekeeping duties as needed.
• Medication Administration.
• Other duties as assigned.
