Alternatives, Inc. in Milford, NJ is hiring a full-time Direct Support Professional to aid adults with developmental disabilities in a residential group home. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications, and support residents to live as independently as possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to pass criminal/registry background checks and a drug screen.
• TB screening clear.
• Ability to pass and maintain trainings such as CPR/First Aid, medication administration, and positive behavioral support training.
• Basic computer skills.
• Experience with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including medication administration, meals, personal hygiene, and transportation.
• Implement individual behavioral plans and use teaching/mentoring to develop new skills.
• Encourage participation in community outings and recreational activities while supporting independence.
• Report health and safety concerns and maintain accurate documentation.
