Job summary

Martha Franks Retirement Community in Laurens, SC, is seeking a friendly, dependable Dietary Aide (FT) to join the Culinary team for the 11:00 AM – 7:30 PM shift. You will assist in meal setup, tray preparation, dining room service, and kitchen sanitation, helping ensure residents receive nutritious meals served with warmth.

Education preferred is a High School Diploma or GED, with on-the-job training available if needed. Prior food service or senior living dietary experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience: Previous food service or senior living dietary experience is a plus; on-the-job training provided.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with basic food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Skills: Strong customer service, reliable attendance, ability to stand/walk for extended periods, and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Meal prep and tray line setup, portion foods per resident diets, and deliver meals.
• Serve residents in dining rooms with courtesy and attention to dietary preferences and restrictions.
• Sanitation: wash dishes, utensils, and sanitize tables and prep areas per food safety standards.
• Stock & inventory: restock dining supplies, carts, and beverage stations.
• Work with cooks, the Dietary Director, and nursing staff to ensure smooth meal service.
