Qualifications

• Food handler's permit.
• Must read/write/speak/understand English to ensure safety and patient care.
• Provide verification of TB skin test per state law; tests may be conducted onsite.

Responsibilities

• Puts customer service first. Ensures residents/patients and families receive high-quality service in a caring atmosphere; maintains confidentiality.
• Abides by established schedule to assigned facilities.
• Dietary aides prepare and serve food based on nutritional needs of patients.
• Inspect food trays to ensure correct meals and dietary needs are addressed.
• Follow recipes, prepare and cook food, maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen and dining areas; wipe surfaces as needed.
• Dispose of food waste; ensure utensils are clean and uncontaminated.
• Maintain inventory and stock ingredients; track perishables and replenishments.
• Attend meetings and in-services; report problems to supervisor.
• Promote teamwork and cooperation with staff.
• Perform other duties as requested.
