Job summary

Alvarado Care Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals according to nutritional needs and physicians' orders. You will help ensure timely delivery of attractive, nutritious meals and supplements while upholding safety and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, inspecting trays, and supporting a courteous, patient-focused dining experience for residents and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 1–2 years in food handling, nutritional care, and hospitality service.
• Food handler’s permit required.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English to ensure safety and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Puts customer service first, ensures high quality care in a compassionate atmosphere.
• Abides by schedule for assigned facilities.
• Prepare and serve food according to nutritional needs.
• Inspect trays to ensure correct meals and dietary compliance.
• Follow recipes and maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation.
• Dispose of waste and manage inventory and replenishment.
• Attend meetings and report problems to supervisor.
• Promote teamwork with other staff.
• Perform other duties as requested.
