This is a full-time position. The primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an inviting environment to work and shop.
Responsibilities include preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products according to Fresh Foods Standards, providing customer service, cleaning work areas, unloading stock, and reloading salvage products.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities. Associates must be at least 18 years old.
Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to participate in training and work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Effective presentation of information in one-on-one and small group situations.
Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
Ability to apply common sense to carry out detailed or uninvolved instructions and deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Completion of company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
Regularly required to stand, walk, handle, reach, talk, hear, and taste or smell. Occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift/move up to 30 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds). Specific vision abilities include close vision, color, and depth perception.
