AVI Foodsystems is seeking a Sous Chef for Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. This full-time, dayshift role supports a high-volume school kitchen and leads a culinary team during Monday–Friday operations.

The ideal candidate has a culinary degree, 2+ years in a lead role, and a commitment to food safety, quality, and client relations. Benefits include health/dental/vision, 401(k) match, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred.
• Two+ years of experience in a culinary lead role.
• Experience in high-volume catering preferred.
• Ability to build relationships by listening and responding to client needs.
• Adaptable to changing business conditions.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals to specifications in a timely manner.
• Measure ingredients and portions accurately.
• Ensure staff adhere to standards and sanitation requirements.
• Use grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food prep.
• Manage kitchen inventory and quality of supplies.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and storage.
• Keep workstation and equipment clean and sanitized.
• Take charge of opening/closing duties as directed.
