Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is seeking an energetic Sous Chef for Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. This full-time days role is Monday–Friday and follows the school calendar with holidays off. You will lead the kitchen, prepare meals to spec, and ensure sanitation and safety standards are met.

Ideal candidates have a culinary degree and 2+ years in a lead role, plus experience in high-volume catering. The position offers a family-oriented culture with opportunities for growth and a competitive

Qualifications

• Culinary degree preferred.
• Two or more years of experience in a culinary lead role.
• Experience in a high volume catering environment preferred.
• Ability to build relationships by actively listening and responding to client needs.
• Adaptable to changing business conditions; comfortable in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals and food to meet specifications in a timely manner.
• Properly measure kitchen ingredients and food portions.
• Ensure kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, rules and sanitation requirements.
• Use kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation.
• Manage kitchen inventory and ensure supplies are fresh and high quality.
• Ensure proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage afterward.
• Keep workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized.
• Take charge of kitchen opening, closing and other duties as directed by the Executive Chef.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for an energetic and optimistic leader to immediately hire to fill the role of Full-time Sous Chef at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, OH. This is a great opportunity to grow your career while working at a prestigious private school. This position mostly works Monday - Friday dayshift. This position follows the school schedule, with holidays off.
