Job summary

The YMCA of Dane County is seeking a Custodian for a full-time evening shift. The position runs Monday through Friday from 1:00pm to 9:00pm, offering stable hours and opportunities to contribute to a safe, clean environment for members and program participants.

Responsibilities include daily cleaning, floor care, restroom and locker room sanitation, trash removal, and snow/ice clearing as needed. Qualifications emphasize being 18+, knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety, and ability to work

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning and safety procedures.
• Knowledge of safe operation of custodial equipment and ladders.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs daily cleaning duties (mops floors, cleans restrooms, dusts, vacuums, trash removal).
• Cleans locker rooms and shower areas.
• Clears snow and ice from walkways and entrances as needed.

This position cleans and maintains building and exterior grounds areas to provide a safe and clean environment for members and program participants.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs daily cleaning duties that include:
  • Dry mops and wet mops floors
  • Cleans restrooms, locker rooms, and shower areas
  • Dusts, vacuums, remove trash and clean around equipment
  • Clears snow and ice from walkways, driveways and other areas as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 18 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of standard cleaning and safety procedures, including restroom sanitation procedures
• Knowledge of safe operation of standard and/or electrical floor or carpet care, custodial equipment, lawn care equipment and ladders
• Ability to work weekends and holidays
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
