Job summary

YMCA at Pabst Farms is seeking a full-time custodian to join our custodial team. The role involves ensuring that YMCA properties, facilities and equipment are clean, safe, and well-maintained to project a positive public image.

Two full-time shifts are available, with evening and morning schedules, and opportunities for training and advancement. Ideal candidates have commercial cleaning experience, the ability to use cleaning tools and chemicals safely, and are willing to obtain required

Qualifications

• Commercial cleaning and general maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to use tools, equipment and chemicals in prescribed manner; read labels and instructions.
• Certifications must be obtained and maintained within first 90 days: Child Abuse Prevention, Blood borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication.
• Willingness to attend meetings, training, and obtain additional certification as requested.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning tasks and aesthetic repairs on schedule and as assigned.
• Provide clean and folded towels for member use as needed.
• Report repairs needed to maintain efficiency and safety of department equipment, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
• Maintain communication with shift lead custodian.

SCHEDULE OPTIONS (Full-Time):

We are hiring for two full-time shifts:

• Evening Shift: Monday–Friday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM (midnight), with alternating weekends.
• Morning Shift: Sunday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM; Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–1:00 PM.
