Job summary

Avenues Recovery Center in Covington, LA, is seeking a dedicated Custodian to keep our facility clean and well-maintained. You will perform custodial duties, stock supplies, and support daily operations under the direction of the Executive Director.

The ideal candidate has CPR certification, at least two years of related experience, and a sober, responsible character aligned with recovery principles. Strong communication and time-management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is required.
• Minimum of two years' related experience preferred.
• If in recovery, a minimum one-year period of sustained sobriety is required.
• Excellent communication, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Strong responsibility and attention to detail.
• Dignified, honest character which models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness and smooth function of property and plant
• Perform routine custodial duties such as cleaning, restocking, removing garbage etc.
• Provide consistent operational support as required by the Executive Director
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure cleanliness and upkeep of facility
• Report on all activities completed, escalating any concerns to the Executive Director
