Position Details

Title: Full Time Custodian, 11:00am - 7:30pm shift

Qualifications

• Experience in custodial/janitorial work.
• Ability to work with a multi-person staff and accomplish work on time and within an established schedule.
• Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, dependability, and skill in custodial duties.
• Familiarity with materials and equipment used in building and grounds care.
• Good communication skills; ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security and safety of the building.
• Keep the building and premises neat and clean.
• Provide excellent customer service and interact appropriately with students, staff, and visitors.
• Perform cleaning, repairs, and maintenance tasks to high standards.
• Report damages and major repairs promptly.
• Follow laws and procedures for waste disposal.
• Ensure doors and windows are secured, lights are turned off when not needed.
• Assist with building use outside school hours and events.
• Work independently to complete tasks.
• Other duties as assigned by the Principal or designee.

Physical Demands

• Bend, reach, walk, and stand for long periods.
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. for moving heavy objects.
• Operate power equipment like buffers and scrubbers.
• Take precautions against exposure to chemicals and fumes.
• Potential exposure to noise and outdoor weather conditions.
• Handle exposure to student bodily fluids and other hazards.

Reports To

Building Principal or designee.

Compensation and Benefits

• Starting at $15.70/hour.
• Year-round, 40 hours/week.
