Stafford Municipal School District is seeking a Custodian to perform routine cleaning and maintenance across district buildings. You will help ensure safe, clean, and ready facilities to support teaching and daily operations.
Responsibilities include cleaning schedules, minor repairs, safety checks, and event setup. High school diploma or GED required; prior custodial experience preferred. This is a full-time, on-site role at Stafford Elementary School.

The Custodian follows routine cleaning and maintenance procedures to maintain safe, clean, efficient, and fully operational buildings and grounds so district facilities remain ready to support teaching, learning, and daily operations.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in custodial work or a willingness to learn.
Buffer, floor stripper, wet and dry vacuum cleaner, electric drill, hand tools, carpet shampooer, lawn mower, edger, weed eater, and other custodial and maintenance equipment.
Flexibility in work schedules.
Maintain emotional control under stress.
Work with frequent interruptions and deadlines.
High physical stamina.
Repetitive hand motions.
Strenuous walking, standing, climbing, lifting, and carrying 20 to 50 pounds.
Work indoors and outdoors and on slippery or uneven walking surfaces, ladders, and/or scaffolding.
Exposure to hot and cold temperatures, dust, toxic chemicals, and materials.
Occasional prolonged or irregular hours.
Frequent work performed alone.
