The role requires performing scans independently, obtaining clinical history, explaining procedures with AIDET, positioning patients, administering contrast, and reviewing images for quality, while supporting department workflow and infection control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• At least one year of radiology experience
• Certifications in ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS

Responsibilities

• Deliver CT scans independently with diagnostic accuracy while maintaining patient safety and comfort
• Obtain clinical history for procedures
• Explain procedures using AIDET and obtain informed consent when appropriate
• Position patients for optimal imaging and patient comfort
• Administer contrast as required and monitor for adverse reactions
• Review images for quality and request rescans if needed
• Maintain CT equipment and perform basic cleaning and infection control practices
• Complete documentation and ensure accurate patient records
• Monitor patient during imaging and respond to changes in condition
• Support department workflow and collaborate with radiology staff
