Job summary

UAB Medicine in Alabama is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic surgery and cardiac catheterizations. You will also participate in nurse anesthesia student instruction.

Applicants must graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program and hold APN-CRNA certification with ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• APN with CRNA Specialty certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• No substitution of education by experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests, including cardio-thoracic procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
