Job summary

UAB Medicine is seeking a CRNA to provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures, including cardio-thoracic cases. You will participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and contribute to an academic medical center’s mission-driven care.

Eligible candidates hold an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program graduate credential and Alabama CRNA certification, plus ACLS, BLS, and PALS credentials.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Work experience may not substitute for education requirement.
• APN with CRNA Specialty certification by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
• ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• PALS certification (AHA) required.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia under the direction of an anesthesiologist for diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests or cardiac procedures.
• Participate in clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students.
