Job summary

Plains Area Mental Health, Inc. is seeking full-time Crisis Response Staff at the Turning Point location to provide crisis stabilization residential services, mobile crisis assessment, and community-based crisis stabilization.

Services run 24/7 and require travel. Minimum qualifications include a Mental Health Professional per Iowa code or a relevant degree with behavioral health experience; valid driver’s license; bilingual a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one of the listed requirements is required.
• MentaI Health Professional as defined in Iowa Code section 228.1.
• Bachelor’s degree with 30 semester hours in Human Services and 1 year in behavioral health.
• Law Enforcement Officer with 2+ years experience.
• Emergency Medical Technician with 2+ years experience.
• Peer Support Specialist / RN with 1 year in behavioral health.
• Bachelor’s degree in a non-human services-related field with 2 years in behavioral health and 30 hours crisis training.
• Computer Skills.
• Valid Driver’s License and Insurance.

Responsibilities

• Crisis stabilization residential services (Turning Point).
• Mobile response (Mobile Crisis Assessment Team).
• Community-based crisis stabilization services.
• Crisis Line Emergency Services (phone-based assessment and stabilization).
• Work 24/7 coverage with on-call rotation.
