Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA, is seeking Full-time Flex Houseparents. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care and supervision for 8–13 students, and help develop their academic, emotional, and social growth.

The role requires a two-person married couple, ages 27+, with a high school diploma or GED, driving ability, and willingness to engage in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel. Housing and meals are included as part of compensation.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for legally married couples for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist in daily supervision.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship
• Managing household routines and student schedules
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness
• Driving students to activities, planning and actively engaging in developmental and recreational activities with students
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting
• Support various student homes on a fixed cycle (nine days on, three off) and transition to a placed houseparent role
