Tri State Distributors in Wetumpka, AL is seeking a dependable Store Clerk to support customers, process orders, and help maintain an organized branch operation. The ideal candidate will work directly with customers, use a computer to enter orders, and assist with warehouse tasks as needed.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds (100 pounds with assistance).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ years of customer service, retail, warehouse, inside sales, or related experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to accurately enter customer orders.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds independently and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
• Positive and professional attitude.
• Ability to stay organized and handle multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and professional service to walk-in and telephone customers
• Process customer sales orders accurately and efficiently
• Assist customers with product questions, availability, and general order needs
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships
• Represent Tri State Distributors in a courteous and professional manner
• Enter customer orders and related information into company computer systems
• Maintain accurate and organized paperwork and records
• Meet company standards for order accuracy and customer service
• Assist with loading customer orders and preparing products for pickup
• Safely operate material-handling equipment as required
• Lift and move products and materials as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store and warehouse environment
• Assist with annual inventory counts
• Cross train in additional branch responsibilities as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned
