Job summary

Autumn Lake at Birch Manor in Sykesville, MD is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) for a Full-Time role. You will provide hands-on therapy under the supervision of an OT and help residents improve daily function and independence.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Occupational Therapy Assistant license required.
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• New graduate COTAs welcome to apply.
• Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, coordination, balance, and functional tasks.
• Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising OT.
• Monitor resident progress and communicate results to the clinical team.
• Reinforce adaptive techniques, equipment use, and safety strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation.
• Work closely with nursing and other rehabilitation professionals.
