Job description

We are looking for a Cook to join our growing team! The right candidate will have experience as a Cook with the ability to follow recipes and current health guidelines to create appetizing meals.

Must be able to work a 10am-6pm or 11am-7pm schedule. We offer a family-friendly schedule with no late nights and rotating weekends off. We also provide a comprehensive benefit package.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare all soups, stocks, sauces; boil, braise, and roast items according to standardized recipes.

2. Prepare and serve all sautéed, fried, grilled, steamed, and baked items per standardized recipes.

3. Prepare or oversee the preparation of all food served, following standard recipes and accommodating special diet orders.

4. Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours, ensuring quality, temperature, and appearance of food are maintained.

5. Determine the amount and type of food and supplies needed for daily menus and ensure timely procurement from storage areas.

6. Maintain dependability and punctuality as outlined in the Attendance Policy.

Qualifications

1. Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform basic arithmetic.

2. Understanding of measurements and conversions.

3. A minimum of three years of experience as a cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar establishment preferred.

4. Ability to plan and organize work, interpret instructions, recipes, specifications, and standards.

5. Knowledge of kitchen equipment.
