Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Alabama is seeking a compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team. You will deliver direct resident care in a warm, home-like setting, assisting with daily activities and monitoring health needs.

The role emphasizes dignified, person-centered support, clear communication with residents and families, and collaboration with a friendly care team. Prior dementia experience is preferred, and licensure is required to provide safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• CNA certification/licensure required.
• Experience with dementia care preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting).
• Document care provided and report changes to appropriate staff.
• Engage residents in meaningful activities and provide emotional support.
• Apply customer service skills to ensure resident satisfaction and dignity.
• Perform other duties as needed.

We are looking for a compassionate CNA to join our team! As a Certified Nursing Assistant, your main role will be to deliver care to our residents within a warm, comfortable, and home-like environment.

CNA Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Documenting care provided and reporting any changes in resident health or behavior to appropriate staff.
• Engaging residents in meaningful activities and providing emotional support.
• Utilizing customer service skills to ensure that residents receive exceptional and meaningful care.
• Other duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Valid CNA/HHA/LNA license required
• Prior experience in a skilled nursing or assisted living community is preferred but not required
• Previous experience working with people with dementia is desired
