Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required/preferred).
• CNA certification in the state of practice (required upon hire).
• BCLS certification (within facility-specified time frame).
• 6 months in an acute or long-term care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care: bathing, grooming, toileting, oral hygiene.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and use of mobility aids.
• Take and record vital signs, weights, and input/output.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge activities.
• Respond to call lights and RN/LPN directions promptly.
• Prepare patient rooms, maintain cleanliness, and manage environmental tasks.
• Assist with feeding and tray delivery/removal; support dietary needs.
• Perform delegated routine procedures under RN direction.
• Apply and monitor restraints under supervision.
• Provide emotional support and maintain patient dignity.
