Job summary

Medical City Green Oaks Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to ensure safe and accurate medication dispensing and to support clinical services within a busy hospital setting.

The staff pharmacist will identify and resolve medication discrepancies, educate staff and patients, and collaborate with the health care team to uphold the highest standards of care. This role requires licensure and hospital pharmacy experience.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist bachelor’s degree required.
• BCLS and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, profiles, charges, credits, prepares and dispenses medication orders.
• Checks the work of technicians and maintains orderly workflow.
• Participates in staff and patient education regarding medications.
• Orders medications from wholesalers or outside pharmacies.
• Performs drug use evaluations and reports findings.
• Identifies adverse drug reactions and reports as required.
• Collaborates with the health care team to promote quality patient care.
