Job summary

Qualifications

• Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders

Responsibilities

• Loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders; delivering to customers or branches and completing delivery tickets accurately
• Move, load and unload cylinders safely; deliver CO2 and cryogenic liquids in transport tankers or cryogenic vessels
• Read and follow SOPs; comply with DOT and OSHA regulations; maintain paperwork and trip logs; keep vehicle clean

Job description

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Indianapolis, IN. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements.

Duties:

• This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders, CO2 and crynogenic liquids and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Responsible for loading, unloading, and delivering CO2 and cryogenic liquids in transport tankers and/or cryogenic vessels
• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Ensure vehicles are appropriately placarded and/or labeled
• Maintain electronic trip-logs
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent Class B CDL Required with HazMat, Tanker & Airbrakes endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders
• Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers
• Drug Free work environment.
