Job summary

American Welding & Gas, Inc. (AWG) is seeking a Class B CDL Delivery Driver for our Rock Hill, SC location. You will load, deliver and accurately complete delivery tickets while following SOPs and DOT/OSHA rules.

Endorsements HazMat and Air Brake are required or must be obtained. Strong safety and communication skills are essential. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities to grow within a nationwide gas and welding supplier.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Class B CDL with HazMat and Air Brake endorsements or the ability to obtain both endorsements.
• Clean driving record.
• Able to read and write English.
• Ability to move 50-75 pounds frequently and handle 100+ pound cylinders.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company road test.
• Ability to communicate with customers.
• Drug Free work environment.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move and store gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies.
• Make deliveries to customers or other branches and complete delivery tickets accurately.
• Read, understand and follow all SOPs.
• Comply with all DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Move cylinders safely and efficiently.
• Prepare and complete paperwork including shipping papers and delivery tickets.
• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

American Welding and Gas, Inc. ("AWG") has an immediate opportunity for Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Rock Hill, SC. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat & Air Brake endorsement.

Duties:

• loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies;
• making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.
• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)
• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations
• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently
• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School graduate or equivalent
• Class B CDL Required with Hazmat and Air brake endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Able to read and write English
• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company administered road test
• Ability to communicate with customers
• Drug Free work environment.
