Job summary

American Welding and Gas, Inc. (AWG) is hiring a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Rock Hill, SC. The role involves loading and delivering gas and liquid cylinders, following SOPs, and ensuring accurate paperwork.

HazMat and Air Brake endorsements are required or must be obtainable, with a clean driving record and English literacy essential. The driver will be responsible for safe handling, on-site loading/unloading, and maintaining the vehicle while adhering to DOT/OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Class B CDL with HazMat and Air Brake endorsements or ability to obtain both.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Clean driving record and valid licenses as required.
• Able to read and write English.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, move and store gas and liquid cylinders and other supplies.
• Make deliveries to customers or branches and complete delivery tickets accurately.
• Follow SOPs and comply with DOT/OSHA regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete paperwork such as shipping papers.

American Welding and Gas, Inc. (\"AWG\") has an immediate opportunity for Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Rock Hill, SC. This position requires a Class B CDL with HazMat & Air Brake endorsement.s

Duties: This position has the responsibility of loading, unloading, moving and storage of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies; making deliveries to customers or other branches and filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.

• Read, understand and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's)


• Comply with all DOT+OSHA Regulations


• Moves, loads, and unloads empty/full cylinders safely and efficiently


• Ensures appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork including but not limited to shipping papers and delivery tickets


• Maintains cleanliness of vehicle


• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent


• Class B CDL Required with Hazmat and Air brake endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements


• Clean driving record


• Able to read and write English


• Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.)


• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Assessment and company administered road test


• Ability to communicate with customers Drug Free work environment.
