Job summary

Assumption Church-School-Parish in Ohio is seeking a dependable Full-Time Custodian / Maintenance team member to maintain clean, safe, and welcoming spaces across the parish, school, church, and campus. You will perform custodial care, general maintenance, groundskeeping, event setup, and light repairs under the Director of Maintenance.

The role requires flexibility for early mornings, evenings, and weekend availability; a background check and VIRTUS participation are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Dependable and service-oriented approach to work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to respond to facility needs and on-call weekend responsibilities.
• Successful completion of required background check.
• Participation in the Diocesan VIRTUS program.

Responsibilities

• Custodial duties across church, school, and parish facilities.
• Maintain clean, welcoming spaces for parishioners, students, staff, and visitors.
• Respond to maintenance requests and facility needs.
• Assist with general maintenance and repair projects.
• Perform light maintenance and repairs (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting).
• Maintain parish facilities and communicate issues to Maintenance Director.
• Maintain parish grounds and assist with landscaping and seasonal upkeep.
• Set up and teardown for parish events and assist with room setup.
• Move furniture and equipment as needed; support parish activities.
