Job summary

St. Pius X Church & School is seeking a reliable, full-time Maintenance/Custodial Technician to support the daily operation, cleanliness, and safety of our parish and school facilities.

The role involves routine cleaning, basic maintenance, event setup, and seasonal tasks. Applicants should be able to lift 50+ lbs, work evenings or weekends, and work well with children and adults in a faith-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Prior custodial or maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
• Must enjoy working around children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks.
• Complete basic maintenance tasks.
• Assist with event setup, furniture moving, and facility preparation.
• Monitor building conditions and report issues promptly.
• Maintain safe work practices when using chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Support seasonal tasks such as snow removal, landscaping assistance, and floor care.
