Job summary

Catholic Diocese of Cleveland Our Lady of the Elms in Akron seeks a part-time Custodian to maintain clean, safe, welcoming facilities for students and staff. You will perform cleaning, light groundskeeping, and event setup to support daily school operations.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of cleaning methods and procedures.
• Familiarity with SDS/chemical safety standards.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and common areas.
• Secure facilities by locking doors and reporting hazards to supervisor.
• Empty trash, clean receptacles, and transport waste to designated areas.
• Sweep sidewalks and entryways; monitor supply needs.
• Set up and break down furniture for school events and activities.
