Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write and speak in English.
• One year of general experience working with children in group settings.
• Physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds; outdoor/indoor work.
• Tier 1 background investigation required; periodic rechecks.
• Civilian Medical Clearance required every two years for childcare roles.
• Preferred education includes two years beyond high school in related fields or a vocational childcare certificate.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute early childhood education activities to promote development.
• Assist in developing age-appropriate curriculum with staff.
• Maintain safe environments and supervise children in all areas.
• Prepare and arrange indoor/outdoor activity spaces and materials.
• Record participation data and required reports; interact with children, parents, and staff.
