Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write and speak English
• One year of general experience working with children
• Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds and to move safely in indoor/outdoor areas
• Ability to pass Tier 1 background investigation and periodic checks
• Ability to complete Civilian Medical Clearance examinations as required

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute age-appropriate early childhood education experiences
• Develop and implement curriculum with teachers and director
• Promote positive interactions among children, youth, and adults
• Lead planned activities for program participants
• Interact with staff, parents, and the command
• Maintain participation data and daily reports
• Assist in maintaining indoor and outdoor activity areas and materials
• Supervise children in classroom, playground, hallways, restrooms, lunches, and bus loading areas
• Perform routine care giving tasks and assist with activities
• Other duties as assigned

Education
