Westminster Communities of Bradenton is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide routine daily nursing care in the Health Center. The role emphasizes preserving residents’ dignity, resident rights, and high-quality customer service in line with federal/state regulations.

Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours weekly, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. Must hold Florida CNA certification and CPR certification; one year of long-term care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in Florida.
• CPR certification required.
• One year of long-term care experience or experience with handicapped/developmentally disabled adults.

Responsabilités

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting).
• Maintain room hygiene and ensure beds are made and trash removed.
• Assist with meals and feeding when necessary to residents.
• Take vital signs and report changes to the nurse.
• Follow infection prevention and control measures per regulations.
• Document in CNA ECS flow-sheet promptly and accurately.
• Conduct routine rounds and ensure safety equipment is in place.
• Provide timely incontinent care and reposition residents to prevent skin breakdown.

We are currently searching for a Certified Nursing Assistant to work in the Health Center. In this role, the Certified Nursing Assistant is responsible for providing assigned residents with routine daily nursing care in accordance with nursing care procedures and as directed by supervisor. Preserves residents’ dignity, honors resident’s rights, provides good customer service, communicates appropriately, and adheres to federal and state compliance regulations.

Schedule: Full-time positions, 37.5 hours per week, openings on 1st shift (7a-3p), 2nd shift (3p-11p), and 3rd shift (11p-7a).

Essential Functions:

• Assist patients/residents with Activities of Daily Living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, transferring, ambulating, toileting, and other resident needs.
• Ensure that beds are made; trash has been removed, and a high level of hygiene is maintained in the room.
• Ensure that meals are served on time and assist residents with meals and feeding, if necessary.
• Take vital signs and report observations and any change in condition to the nurse.
• Practice infection prevention and control measures in compliance with Federal, State and facility requirements.
• Document in CNA ECS flow-sheet promptly, accurately and comprehensively/thoroughly.
• Make routine and frequent rounds to ensure those safety precautions/equipment are in place and in working order.
• Avoid development of skin problems or skin breakdown by providing timely incontinent care and frequent repositioning of residents that need assistance.

Education and Experience:

Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with the laws of Florida. Must be CPR Certified. One year of long term care experience or working with handicapped or developmentally disabled adults.
