Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service by adhering to Lowe's policies and procedures.
• Assist customers in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when necessary.
• Show genuine appreciation to customers and communicate product and service information effectively.
• Coordinate with customers and delivery teams regarding deliveries and special orders.

In-stock

• Plan and execute delivery activities, ensuring timely delivery of orders.
• Pull merchandise, prepare delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits.
• Inspect products before delivery, verify invoice details, and assist customers with loading if needed.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Ensure loads are secure and compliant with DOT regulations.
• Update delivery statuses using relevant systems.
• Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery.
• Maintain vehicle safety through inspections and reporting, ensuring cleanliness and repairs.
• Complete DOT reporting to maintain certifications and compliance.
• Monitor security risks and communicate issues promptly.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization, adhering to safety standards.
• Operate store equipment as required based on specific roles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A or B CDL License with appropriate endorsements, depending on location.
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to obtain necessary sales licenses or registrations.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year of semi-truck/trailer driving experience or certification.
• 6 months of in-home delivery or retail customer service experience.
• 3 months of forklift operation or vehicle onloading/offloading experience.
