Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service

• Provide SMART customer service consistently by following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
• Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
• Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
• Show genuine appreciation to customers.
• Communicate product information, including stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
• Coordinate with customers and truck drivers regarding deliveries.

In-stock

• Plan delivery activities, prepare loading tickets, and ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
• Pull merchandise, prepare delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits.
• Inspect products before loading or assisting customers with loading.
• Verify invoice descriptions, items, and model numbers during loading.

Clean and Safe Stores

• Ensure loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
• Update delivery and route statuses in the system for tracking.
• Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery.
• Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment.
• Complete DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
• Identify and report security risks such as shoplifting or theft.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization per standards.
• Ensure a safe work environment by conducting safety reviews and addressing hazards.
• Operate store equipment as required by the specific role.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License (required for locations with multi-unit CMV) or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit CMV).
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
• Ability to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to obtain necessary sales-related licensure or registration.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year of experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
• 6 months of experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 months of experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading/unloading.
