Essential Functions:
- Customer Service
- Provide SMART customer service consistently by following Lowe's policies, procedures, and programs.
- Engage with customers to understand their needs and assist with locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
- Respond promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
- Show genuine appreciation to customers.
- Communicate product information, including stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
- Coordinate with customers and truck drivers regarding deliveries.
In-stock- Plan delivery activities, prepare loading tickets, and ensure timely delivery of merchandise.
- Pull merchandise, prepare delivery loads, and load trucks within payload limits.
- Inspect products before loading or assisting customers with loading.
- Verify invoice descriptions, items, and model numbers during loading.
Clean and Safe Stores- Ensure loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
- Update delivery and route statuses in the system for tracking.
- Unload, install, and test appliances upon delivery.
- Perform vehicle inspections, maintain cleanliness, and report repairs for delivery vehicles and equipment.
- Complete DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
- Identify and report security risks such as shoplifting or theft.
- Maintain store cleanliness and organization per standards.
- Ensure a safe work environment by conducting safety reviews and addressing hazards.
- Operate store equipment as required by the specific role.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Class A CDL License (required for locations with multi-unit CMV) or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement (for single-unit CMV).
- Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one upon employment.
- Ability to pass MVR screening.
- Ability to obtain necessary sales-related licensure or registration.
- Ability to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.
Preferences:
- 1 year of experience driving semi-trucks/trailers or certification from a driving school.
- 6 months of experience in in-home delivery or retail customer service.
- 3 months of experience operating a forklift or Moffett for loading/unloading.
