Job summary

Ashland University Catering and Conferences seeks a full-time Catering Event Supervisor 2 to lead events from small meetings to large weddings, ensuring BEO requirements are met and guest service runs smoothly.

The role oversees wait staff and bartenders, manages bars, supervises food safety and quality, and coordinates setup, service, and cleanup for evening and weekend events at AU.

Qualifications

• Hospitality experience.
• Knowledge of food safety.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older to oversee bars and bartenders.
• Applicant must be currently authorized to work in the United States. Ashland University will not sponsor or take over sponsorship for an employment visa.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for events in accordance to the Banquet Event Order ( BEO ).
• Leads wait staff and bartenders during the event, including assigning set up tasks, sections, and clean up tasks and ensures that all details of the BEO are met.

• Schedule varies week to week depending on events, most shifts are nights and weekends.

Position Title Full-Time Catering Event Supervisor 2 - Catering and Conferences

Job Description

Ashland University Catering and Conferences seeks to fill a full-time Catering Event Supervisor position. AU Catering serves a large variety of events from ten (10) guest lunch meetings to three hundred (300) guest off-premise weddings and everything in between.

• Prepare for events in accordance to the Banquet Event Order ( BEO ).


• Leads wait staff and bartenders during the event, including assigning set up tasks, sections, and clean up tasks and ensures that all details of the BEO are met.


• Responsible for overseeing food safety and food quality.


• Manage bars and bartenders.


• Schedule varies week to week depending on events, most shifts are nights and weekends.
