Job summary

Ashland University Catering and Conferences seeks a full-time Catering Event Supervisor (2) to lead event operations within the university’s catering program. You will prepare for events per the Banquet Event Order (BEO), supervise wait staff and bartenders, and ensure food safety and quality across all events.

This role requires flexibility for nights and weekends, with an expected 40 hours per week. Prior catering or event leadership experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Hospitability experience.
• Knowledge of food safety.
• Customer service experience.
• Must be 21+ to oversee bars and bartenders.
• Authorized to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for events in accordance with the Banquet Event Order (BEO).
• Leads wait staff and bartenders during events, assigns set up tasks and sections, and ensures BEO details are met.
• Oversees food safety and food quality during events.
• Manages bars and bartenders for events.
• Schedules vary weekly; most shifts are nights and weekends.
