Job summary

Community Resource Network of Florida INC is seeking a caregiver for an in-home position to assist a young man with I/DD. Responsibilities include ADLs, meal prep, light cleaning, and promoting independence and communication. Must be compassionate, with a valid driver’s license and ability to pass background screening.

This is an independent contractor role paying $15 per hour. Schedule is Monday to Friday from 6:45 a.m. to 4:45 p.m., with no weekends.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and pass local and Level 2 background screening.
• Provide proven caregiving experience or technical training (1 year).
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene tasks and ADLs.
• Prepare meals and assist with light cleaning.
• Encourage independence, safety, and social interaction.
• Support the individual during home activities and school tasks.

Community Resource Network of Florida is looking for a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and is committed to helping individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) achieve their highest level of independence and live their best life.

This position is an in-home position, providing care at the Individuals home. This individual is a young man who enjoys puzzles, crafts, painting, coloring and going for walks in his neighborhood. He will also be working on some of his school assignments and projects that the caregiver can help him with. He is very sweet and happy.

He requires the caregiver to prepare his food-basic meals already prepped by his parent. He requires reminders to chew slowly.

He requires assistance with all ADLs, and someone that enjoys interacting with a high energy child. He uses sign language and his device to communicate his needs.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 6:45 a.m.-4:45 p.m. No weekends needed
