Job summary

Community Resource Network of Florida is seeking a caregiver who is fun, compassionate, dependable and committed to helping individuals with I/DD achieve independence and live their best life. The position involves supporting a young boy with all ADLs, occasional activities, and ensuring safety in the home. This is an independent contractor role paying $15.00 per hour.

Schedule is Mon-Fri 2pm-6pm. Requires a valid driver’s license, ability to pass background checks, and an HHA certificate; HS

• Encouraging and supporting the individual during home activities.
• Assisting with personal hygiene tasks.
• Meal preparation and light cleaning.
• Ensuring individual's safety and maintaining a safe living environment.
• Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individual to social events, community outings, such as grocery shopping and appointments
• Promote communication, choice, independence, and socialization.
• Complete daily progress notes.

The individual is a young boy in need of a caregiver to support with all ADL's, He enjoys books, music, animals, playing with balls, and using his iPad. An active boy, he especially enjoys riding his special bike. Friendly, outgoing, and full of energy, he loves to joke around and has a fun-loving personality.

Qualifications And Skills

• Valid driver’s license
• Must be able to pass Local and Level 2 Background Screening
• HHA Certificate
• Provide proven 1 year of caregiving experience or technical training.
• Have a High School diploma or equivalent
• Are 18 years of age or older
